2014 Oregon Trip

We made a quick weekend trip to Oregon this year for Rob's little sister's wedding.  We would have driven, but it wasn't spring break and Rob really can't just take a week off in the middle of the semester, so we decided after finding a fairly good price online to fly with all the kids.  I got Cora out of school on Friday around 2:00 (should have thought ahead about the kindergarten program being at the same time and there were crowds of people everywhere!).  We drove the 4 hours to Denver to get on a plane.  The kids carried their own luggage which was nice.  They were pretty good for the flight, especially considering we found out at the doctor that morning that Ivy has a double ear infection.  Ivy was so tired that she fell asleep during the last 40 minutes or so of the flight when we landed at 11:30 pm nebraska time.  Yogurt bites kept her mostly occupied.

We missed the reception that night (we knew we would) but were able to go to the wedding in the morning.

We were happy to have all of the cousins on that side of the family at the wedding.  I tried to get a picture of all of the kids without getting in the real photograper's way.  Left to right: Finn, Grandpa (Rob's dad), Kai, Grandma Bogardus (Rob's dad's mom), Grandma Buechele (Rob's mom's mom), Ivy, Martin, Cora, Katrine, Grandma (Rob's mom), and Gideon.

 The weather was perfect and the gardens were beautiful so I tried to get a picture of my three kids together.

 

Rob and I also got to go on a date that night, so we went back to the temple where we were also married.  We got a chance to peek at the sealing room we were sealed in almost 10 years ago.  We also got to eat out at Cheesecake Factory.  Oh how I miss the big chain restaurants!

And we also celebrated Rob's 35th birthday party while we were there with family. Happy Birthday Rob!
