McCook Heritage Days was today, so we got to take the kids to the town parade. Cora was so excited. We walked down to the main street with our jogging stroller and Cora told me, "Pretty soon the candy will come!" She kind of remembered it from last year. We were prepared this time with a grocery bag. We were lucky to find a spot by her friend Jackson from church (the kid in the red sweat shirt).
The weather was nice, but you could definitely tell fall is coming. It was warm in the sun.
Cora was really good about staying on the right side of the rope on the street. Maybe the firetruck sirens and horns and motorcycle engines scared her away. Finn definitely jumped when the firetruck honked right in front of us. Check out the cool orange tractor.
I just love this next picture. The parade was really long- more than an hour. Cora was done picking up candy about half way through so she sat on Rob's lap and ate a few pieces.
Rob says maybe next time he'll be in the parade with the McCook Community College float.
